Shanghai Active Technology (上海主动科技) closed a RMB330 million angel round on 3 August 2026, roughly US$46 million. Zhongke Chuangxing led; Lenovo Star, 9 Capital, Daotong Investment, Inno Angel Fund, Huada Songhe Biotech Fund, Jifeng Capital and Jiadao Capital joined. Both TechNode and the Economic Observer describe it as a record angel round for China’s brain-computer interface sector.
The company was incorporated in February 2026, six months before the round. It builds invasive interfaces, working across flexible electrodes, dedicated chips, decoding algorithms and system integration, with a stated product line covering motor, visual and emotional BCIs. No clinical result has been published.
The money goes to physical capacity: a facility of 2,500 square metres today, a headquarters of more than 10,000 square metres planned by the end of 2026, headcount past 100 over the same period, and clinical trials.
