ATLAS, a San Francisco company, opened preorders on 1 September 2026 for the Atlas 1.0, a non-invasive brain wearable it says captures neural activity during ordinary daily life. The device costs $499 and requires a $29.99 monthly membership covering sensor replenishment, app access and insights. New Atlas, reporting on 7 September, put deliveries in the first quarter of 2027; the company’s own announcement gives no delivery date.

The product combines EEG with motion, skin conductance and voice vibration signals, and reports three states it calls Presence, Stress and Energy Burn, tied to contextual data about the wearer’s day. ATLAS says more than 500,000 brain recordings train its algorithms, and claims its motion-resilient EEG performs up to twenty times better than comparison equipment during real-life movement. Neither figure has been published in a peer-reviewed form.

The company says it has raised $24 million, from Acrew Capital, Compound, GAC, HOF Capital, Refactor and Unshackled Ventures.

Motion artefact is the long-standing obstacle to EEG outside a laboratory: electrical signals from muscle and from a shifting electrode swamp the microvolt signals from cortex. A consumer device claiming continuous EEG during normal activity is making a claim about that problem, and the claim is so far the company’s own.
