A Korean firm shows an EEG-driven robotic hand glove in Beijing

A matte black robotic hand glove photographed on a dark grey surface, its fingers built from segmented shells over a fabric liner, with thin red accent lines on the back of the hand and wrist.

The South Korean company Dynamic Solution showed a brain-computer interface robotic hand glove at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, which opened on 19 August 2026. The device reads scalp EEG, interprets the wearer’s intent and drives an actuator for each finger independently.

It is non-invasive, which places it in a different category from the implanted arrays that dominate BCI coverage. Nothing is placed in the skull; the trade is signal quality for reversibility, and the target is a hand that has stopped answering rather than one that is missing.

The hardware side comes from elsewhere. Dynamic Solution licensed X-HAND, a tactile robotic hand technology, from Korea’s Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute in March 2026, and says it contributes fine force adjustment and remote-control precision. The glove is hand-sized for an adult male, uses anti-slip material for grip, and supports several grasp configurations.

A Korea-Germany consortium involving Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and Charité Berlin began preparing a phase 2 clinical trial in April 2026, following a 2021 prototype.

The claims here are the company’s, reported by a Korean trade outlet and read in translation. No trial results have been published.
