Meta's first camera-free Ray-Ban glasses go on pre-order at $349

MetaPress kit
Meta announced Ray-Ban Meta Audio at Meta Connect on 23 September 2026, the first glasses in its Ray-Ban line built without a camera. Pre-orders opened the same day at $349, with shipping from 13 October.
The frames weigh 43 grams, which Meta calls its lightest and slimmest AI glasses so far, and run up to 12 hours on a charge, with another 48 hours from the charging case. They play music, podcasts and calls, with voice clarity Meta says is better than earbuds, and give hands-free access to the company’s AI assistant. Two styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, come in 23 frame and lens combinations, and both accept prescription lenses.
The camera-equipped line continues alongside. Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3, with a 12-megapixel camera and a six-microphone array, went on sale the same day from $449. The audio model keeps the assistant and the speakers on the face and leaves the camera out entirely, so the frame can take no photos or video.
