Noetix opened an embodied-AI brand with a world model

A white NOETIX-branded bipedal humanoid robot with a black visor-style head walks outdoors on a paved plaza past a man, a girl in a school uniform and a running boy, in front of a curved concrete building facade.

Noetix Robotics, the Beijing humanoid maker known for its consumer-grade Bumi robot and its N and E series bipeds, announced a sub-brand on 8 September 2026. Scalabot covers embodied intelligence, and its first release is HERON-World Model.

By the company’s description, HERON is action-conditional: given a robot action, it predicts how the environment will change, which is what lets a machine evaluate a move before committing to it. It was trained on three kinds of data — recordings of real robots operating, simulation, and first-person video of humans doing tasks — and reconciles different robot platforms through a shared action representation. The architecture combines a mixture-of-transformers approach for overall structure with a mixture-of-experts approach for local detail.

The move itself is the story. Noetix has until now sold bodies, and world models are the layer that decides what a body does. Its Chinese competitors made the same turn earlier this year, which leaves a hardware manufacturer with monthly deliveries needing a model to justify them.

No benchmark results, training-compute figures or release terms were published, and the announcement was reported in Chinese; nothing here has been demonstrated on a robot in public.
