Shenzhen Shenyi Technology, founded in May 2025, closed an angel round of more than 10 million yuan reported on 31 August 2026. The round was led by the Guangming Lihe fund, with participation from Dongguan Biotech. The company is backed by the Deep Brain Tech Research Institute, which operates a national high-performance medical device innovation centre.
Shenyi builds non-invasive brain-computer interfaces on two tracks at once: wearable consumer devices for sleep and mood monitoring, and closed-loop neural stimulation equipment intended as a regulated medical product for depression screening and neuromodulation. The proceeds are allocated to core interface development, consumer manufacturing and overseas expansion, and the clinical validation and registration work the medical-grade line requires.
Chinese non-invasive BCI has become a crowded early-stage field, and an angel round of this size is a small entry in it. What makes the shape worth noting is the dual track. A consumer sleep headband and a prescription depression device share electrodes and signal processing but almost nothing else — not the evidence bar, not the regulator, not the buyer. Companies that attempt both are betting the consumer volume pays for the clinical trial.
