Wandercraft acquires Ekso Bionics and its exoskeleton line

Wandercraft announced on 1 October 2026 that it has acquired Ekso Bionics, buying the US exoskeleton maker from a subsidiary of ChronoScale Holdings, the Nasdaq-listed company that owned it. The deal was signed and closed the same day, and financial terms were not disclosed.
The purchase brings four medical exoskeletons under one owner. Two are rehabilitation systems used in clinics, Wandercraft’s self-balancing Atalante X and Ekso’s EksoNR; the companies say the pair is already in use at more than 700 rehabilitation centres worldwide. The other two are personal devices for use at home and in daily life: Wandercraft’s Eve, cleared by the FDA in August 2026 and on sale in the United States since September, and Ekso’s modular Indego Personal. Wandercraft says it will keep supporting all four products and their users.
The two companies come from opposite sides of the Atlantic. Wandercraft brings its robotics and physical AI work and its position in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Ekso brings a long US clinical record and commercial reach. Wandercraft chief executive Matthieu Masselin said the combination is meant to widen access to robotic mobility worldwide.
